Ricky L. Ash of Rushville passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2025, surrounded by his family at his residence at the age of 66.  Ricky was born in Connersville, IN on January 31, 1959, the son of Joan Bergen Wise and the late Donald L. Ash.

On February 14, 2014, he was united in marriage to the former Kathy Barnett.  They shared 11 years of marriage prior to his death.

Ricky had worked for Morris Excavating and Brackney Excavating.  He also had been a machinist in local factories and most recently he worked at Copeland Climate Control in Rushville.  He loved being outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses.  Most importantly, Ricky loved the times he spent with his family and friends.   In his younger years, he attended Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, Joan and his wife, Kathy, he is survived by a son, Ronald (Amy) Ash; brothers, Donnie (Barbara) Ash and Doug (Lena) Ash; a grandson, Austin (Caitlin) Ash and a great grandson, Kolson Ash, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Ash.

Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville on Tuesday February 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Ricky will be laid to rest at Orange North Cemetery.
