Rita Jo Rowan, 77 of Indianapolis formally of Connersville passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born on January 5, 1944 to John Rowan and Joan Robbins Mize.

Rita was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Connersville.

Rita was a medical transcriptionist and a computer programmer at Fayette Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed reading, and coloring, watching the Hallmark channel and doing puzzles.

Rita will be greatly missed by her daughter and son in law, Joanilla and Raphael Barker; and a granddaughter, Jessica Barker and great grand daughter Jayla Scales.  She is also survived by nieces Mrs. Sharlene Laseter, Mrs. Stephanie Hill, Mrs Nicole Lewis and their husbands and respective families.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Rita will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler funeral home, 513 W. 8 ^th St. Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
