Rodney E. Hardy of Connersville passed away on Friday November 14, 2025, at The Springs of Richmond at the age of 79.  Rodney was born on September 28, 1946, in Connersville, the son of the late Francis A. and Thearis M. Cordray Hardy.

He graduated from Connersville High School in 1964 and went to work at Root's Blower.  In 1966 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Sergeant.  He was honorably discharged in March of 1970.

After returning from the Air Force, he returned to work at Root's Blower where he retired in 2009 after 45 years.  When he wasn't at work you could find him relaxing by his favorite fishing spot, reading or working in his flower gardens.

Rodney is survived by his children, Cary (Lori) Hardy and Gary (Jenny) Hardy; brother, Eric (Linda) Hardy; grandchildren, Emily (AJ) Fullenkamp, Annalyn (Eric) Adams and Sydney Hardy, as well as his great grandson, Henry Fullenkamp.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Dixie Cutting and Carol Rigsby.

Keeping with Rodney's wishes, cremation was chosen.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
