Rose Marie Burke, 69, of Connersville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born in Connersville, on August 31, 1955; daughter of the late Edward Oswald and Mary Louise Hamilton Oswald.

On December 15, 1973 in Connersville, Rose married the love of her life Daniel D. Burke "Danny". Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to her passing. Danny and Rose attended services together at New Heights Christian Church.

Rose loved her family wholly and dedicated her life to loving and serving them. She was always generous with her time and money and would do absolutely anything for her grandchildren. Rose was always happy to cook for her family and was famous for her meatloaf. She enjoyed maintaining her beautiful home that she and Dan have shared since 1975. Together they filled their home with a lifetime of memories and walls filled with pictures of their children and grandchildren.

Rose was a follower of Christ her whole life and faithfully spent time reading her Bible and Our Daily Bread devotionals. Her faith in God truly guided her.

Rose was a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor. One of her favorite stories to tell was of how she and Dan met at his brother's wedding… where she couldn't help but pass along her phone number. She loved that man with her whole heart.

In her free time, she was a movie buff and always had the best snacks. She liked to color, paint by numbers, and dabbled in other various creative endeavors over the years. When the weather was nice, Rose liked going with Dan to yard sales where she would find treasures for her home. She never passed up an opportunity to travel somewhere new for a vacation.

Rose had a life well-lived, and she will be greatly missed.

Along with her husband Danny, Rose is survived by her daughters, Dandelion "Jaime" (Geoffery) Eutsler, Karen (Frank) Savarese, and Denise (Shane) Hill. She will be missed dearly by her sisters, Sue Guffey and Joyce Davis. Her memories will live on in her grandchildren; Sozo, Garrett, Isabel, Adeline, Rocco, Lorelei, Tallulah, Sophia, Louise, Levi, Kai, Calvin, Ashford, a bonus granddaughter Breanna, and her great-grandchild Alaya.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a half sister, Paula Kelly.

Friends and family may gather on Thursday November 21, 2024 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Urban Winkler Funeral Home located at 513 W 8th Street Connersville, IN 47331. A funeral service will begin at 1:00PM with Don Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
