Ruth Ann Mitchem, age 76, of Connersville, passed away on September 26, 2022, at Heritage House of Connersville.  Ruth was born on August 18, 1946, in Crumpler, West Virginia the daughter of Homer B. and Ada Elizabeth Bergen Mitchem.

Ruth had attended Church of Bible Covenant. She had worked in area nursing homes as a housekeeper.  She also worked at area restaurants over the years.  Ruth enjoyed taking pictures, writing poetry and taking long rides that would end with a trip to get ice cream.  Most of all she treasured the time she spent with the family.

Those that she has left to cherish her love and memories are a daughter, Lisa (Michael) King; a son, Randy Sparks; brothers, Roy (Vivian) Mitchem and Melvin (Marsha) Mitchem; and a sister, Wilma (Wayne) Hughes; her grandchildren, Nikita Kay Sorrell, Benjamin Michael Sorrell, and Erin Cryston Sorrell; five great grandchildren, Keira, Sophia, Jaxon, Maddox and Blaine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Jarrod Clay Sparks and Homer Edward "Eddie" Sparks and a great grandchild, Sharon.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday October 1, 2022, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Orange North Cemetery.
