Ruth Ann Saxon passed away with family by her side on August 3, 2026, at her home at the age of 89.  Ruth Ann was born in Connersville, Indiana on December 11,1936.  She is the daughter of the late Harry E. and Helen Ann (Strothman) Strait.

At St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Liberty, Ruth Ann was united in marriage to Larry Saxon on August 19, 1967.  Together they shared close to 59 years of marriage.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that enjoyed word games, playing card games, and bingo. Ruth Ann cherished and had a passion for all animals.  She was known for taking in strays of all kinds and caring for them.  Ruth Ann and Larry loved to travel and would take long car rides just to enjoy the scenery.  Although she enjoyed many things in her life, nothing meant more than her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Larry; daughter, Sherry Lynn (Rawle) Ramtahal; brother, Morris (Linda) Strait; grandchildren, Jessica, Laneisa, Russell, Amber, Heather and Jason; six great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Lanita Carlin; son Robert Carlin, and brothers, Edward Strait, Gerald Strait and Phillip Dean Strait.

Keeping with Ruth Ann's wishes, cremation was chosen.  The family will have a celebration of life at their convenience.
