Sarah J. Turney was lifted into Heaven in the hands of her Lord and Savior on July 21, 2025 at the age of 81.  Sarah was born in Sullivan, Indiana on July 7, 1944, the daughter of the late James Dalton and Dessa Steele Dalton Nester.

She is a graduate of Connersville High School.  Sarah was a home health care worker that showed love and compassion for clients.  She also worked for Philco Ford for 10 years.  She found joy in the simple things, reading her bible, feeding and watching birds and squirrels, and playing euchre, gin, or any card game.  Her favorite past time was being in the company of her family.

Those surviving to cherish her love and memories include her daughter, Lori Bever; sons, Mark (Lynn) Turney and Larry David (Joy) Turney; brother, Steve Dalton; sisters, Linda Weinheimer, and Cathy (Rick) Brummett; grandchildren, James (Charity) Bever, Veronica (Steven) Bever-Woehrmann, Kaylah Turney and Dalton Turney; 7 great grandchildren, her best friend of over 55 years, Ginger Dearth, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was welcomed into heaven by her brother James Dalton; sisters, Sue Dalton, Barbara Lee, and Cindy Anderson.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Urban Winkler Funeral Home is honored to assist with Sarah's arrangements.
