Sharolyn "Sherry" Marcum, 62 of Connersville passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
She was born on May 24, 1963 in Connersville to George Doulen and Zelda Jean Moore Doulen.
Sherry attended Connersville Baptist Temple Church.
Sherry worked at the front desk of the Indiana Department of Child Services   in Connersville for many years. Over the years she helped coordinate work events and the Christmas party for the children. Sherry loved her job and creating those happy moments for the children in our community.
Sherry was a true fitness enthusiast; she found joy in her daily walks outdoors. She loved her dogs and animals. She believed in living life to the fullest, staying active and appreciating the simple beauty of the world around her. Above all she was a devoted mother. Her greatest happiness came from the time spent with those she loved most.
Sherry is survived by her children, Jessica Craven, Derek Marcum and Nichole Murray; her brothers and sisters, Lois Tanksley, Berneice (Jerry) Tipton, Rebecca (Orin Ashley) Allen, Matt (Sue) Doulen and Daniel (Kavalyn) Doulen; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Dylan; her partner and his daughter, Ray Richardson and Sommer Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, George and Zelda Jean Doulen.
Visitation for Sherry will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Sammy Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
