Obituary

Sharon Adams, 82, of Brownsville went home to hug Jesus on Friday, May 15, 2026. She was born on October 29, 1943 in Connersville to Grant Jones and Kamilla Bills Jones.

On September 24, 1961 she married Bill Adams, they were able to spend 36 years together before he passed away on April 8, 1997.

Sharon centered her life around raising her children and was a devoted homemaker. She found happiness in the outdoors and could often be found working in the dirt, pulling weeds, planting a garden or simply enjoying the beauty of God's creation. Creative at heart, she enjoyed painting, drawing, beading and expressing herself through art and handmade creations. She also loved to fish, dance and spend time doing the things that brought her joy and to others.

She deeply loved Jesus and carried her faith with her daily. She also held a special appreciation for all things Indigenous and admired the culture, traditions, and spiritual connection to nature they represented.

One of her proudest joys was sponsoring a wolf named Shinaqua at the Wolf Creek Habitat, a reflection of her lifelong love for animals and wildfire. Whether caring for animals, tending to flowers, or simply listening to the sounds of nature around her, she lived with a heart full of wonder and kindness.   Her memory will continue to bloom in every garden, echo in every garden, echo in every bird song and live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Donald) Roszell,  a son, Steven (Mary) Adams; 7 grandchildren, Nicole (Branigan) Pate, Chris (Rachel) Purcell, Heather (Mike) Bath, Grant (Amanda) Adams, Richard (Ashley) Funk II, Levi (Maddie) Adams and Hailey (Zach) Cooper; several great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; daughter in law, Rosie Adams; and lifelong friend, Cheryl Riley.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Adams, lifelong friend who was like a sister, Anna Bolin.
