Sharon A. "Sherri" Hendrickson, age 65, of Connersville began her eternal journey with her Lord, on July 28, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond.  She was born in Batesville, Indiana on March 28, 1957, the daughter of the late Russell and Myrtle Alice Hankins Elston.

Sherri was united in marriage on June 15, 1973, to Richard Hendrickson in Connersville.  They were able to spend 49 years together and were blessed with three children before she passed.

A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, she treasured the monthly meetings and fellowship of the Lamplighters group.

For over 40 years, she had worked as a CNA and QMA and Activities Director at Lincoln Centers and most recently Hickory Creek of Connersville.  She had a passion for caring for others.  She was a very loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who had a contagious laugh and  loved to cook at holiday times for her family.  She was known for her juicy turkeys and potato salad.  She enjoyed camping and watching her children and grandchildren participating in their sport activities. Above all, her family meant the world to her.

Those surviving who will cherish her memories are, her husband, Richard; a daughter, Roxann (Bradley); sons, Richard Lee (Dixie) Hendrickson and James Russell (Jennifer) Hendrickson; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke, James, Jacob, Jenna, Stephanie and Kutischa; and eight great grandchildren.  Also missing Sherri are her brother, William "Uncle Billy" (Jewel) Elston: sister, Sandra "Sandy" Gullion and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may gather at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville on Tuesday August 9, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday August 10, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim McHale officiating.   Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
