Stephen K. Kaufman passed away on Thursday evening July 30, 2026, at his residence at the age of 75.  The oldest of four children, he was born in Richmond, Indiana on February 13, 1951, to Glen and Barbara (Snyder) Kaufman.

He attended Brownsville United Methodist Church from a young age.  Stephen was a licensed independent massage therapist for many years.  Prior to receiving his certification, he worked for several years in construction.

Stephen was a free spirit that loved to travel and enjoyed photography.  He looked forward to his yearly trips to Tuson, Arizona for a rock and gem show where he sold jewelry. He loved the time when he lived by the ocean in Outer Banks, North Carolina.  Above all he treasured the time he spent with his family.

His love and memories will be cherished by his daughters; Dawn Kaufman and Steva (Barry) Kaufkins; grandchildren, Quentin Deans, Nahla Kaufkins, and Aspen Kaufkins; brothers, Jon R. (Diane) Kaufman, James (Darlene) Kaufman and Ronald (Karla) Kaufman, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Keeping with Stephen's wishes, cremation was chosen and a Celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
