Steven W. Smith passed away while resting peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at the age of 69.  He was born in Connersville, IN on December 15, 1955, one twelve children of Keller and Bertha Hensley Smith.

Steven was a 1972 graduate of Connersville High School.  For 20 plus years, he was a crane operator for Davey Tree Experts and had worked for Nelson Tree Service for several years.  His love of the outdoors showed through the times he spent fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting.  He also enjoyed repairing cars with his son.  He loved being in the company of his family.

Steven love and memories will be cherished by his companion of over 38 years, Rebecca Isaacs; sons, Steven L. Smith, Anthony (Lacy) Reisert, and Ethan Smith; stepdaughters, April (Chad) Lykins and Megan Snyder; brother Ronald (Kathleen Bunch) Smith; sisters Glenna Doulin and Sue (John) Cooksey: several grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Joshua Wayne Smith, who passed on August 28, 2020, and eight siblings.
