Tammy Jane Marcum, 66 of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1960, in Hillsborough County, Florida to Zirl Gene Marcum and Virginia Ann Hisle Marcum.

A faithful follower of Christ, Tammy was an active member of Evangel Church in Greenfield, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship and serving alongside her church family. Her church was much more than a place she attended; it was a community she cherished and the friendships she built.

Tammy spent many years working in customer service, where her warm smile touched many lives. Above all else, Tammy was a loving mother whose greatest joy came from caring for and encouraging her family. She was a teacher in many ways, always willing to share her wisdom and offer guidance. She embraced every opportunity to make memories, while traveling, spending time at the racetrack, going on vacations and enjoying the great outdoors with those she loved most.

She is survived by her children, Joel David Cumbee II, Rebecca Lynn Aguilar and Jennifer Lea Cumbee; her grandchildren, Skylar, Emily, Ashley, Joel III, DeVaughn, Morgan, Conner, Hanna, Jolean and Victoria; her great grandchildren, Leonidas, Issac, Matthew, KaMari, Ozzy and Valyra; and her sister, Janice Lloyd.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Tommy Marcum.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Urban Winkler funeral home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
