Tania Jo Lay, formerly of Connersville, passed away on December 24, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 50.  She was born in Connersville, IN on October 5, 1974, the daughter of David Lay and the late Debra Jones Blevins.

Tania worked for 15 years at Pizza King North and prior to that at Wendy's for 10 years.  When she wasn't at work you could find her watching Grey's Anatomy, one of her favorite cooking show or scrolling though social media.  She treasured the times that she spent with her children, grandchildren and extended family.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her father and stepmother, David and Elizabeth Lay; daughter, Tiffany (Jacob) Ailes; son Devon Shepard; and sister Lisa (Craig) Hamilton.  She will live on in the thoughts of her grandchildren, Caidan and Luke, stepsisters, Rebecca (Keith) Stanley and Brandy (Darren) Jones; stepbrother Jason Philpot; nieces Lexi Chance and Cierra (Tad) Woodward and their children, Jace and Aria; Uncle Randy (Connie) Lay and Aunts Maggie Wyatt and Cheri McQueen.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Louis and Judith Jones; paternal grandparents, James and Virginia Lay and her cat, Snuggles.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Thursday January 2, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.  Tania will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
