Theodore "Ted" Harlan, 76 of Liberty passed away on February 3, 2025. He was born on November 16, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio to Wayne Harlan and Betty Gephart Harlan.

Ted graduated from Short High School Class of 1966. After graduating high school he joined the United States Army in 1967. During his 3 years of service after basic training, he was placed "3rd Battalion 82nd Infantry Americal Division," he served 2 tours in Vietnam. After his time in the Army, he began driving semi-trucks coast to coast east, west, north and south. Ted continued to drive until his health slowed him down.

In 1975 he married Katy Daly, together they had their son, Matthew Harlan.

Ted enjoyed all shooting sports and playing pool. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a member of the Mason Lodge Webb 24.

Ted is survived by his son, Matthew (Ileeha) Harlan; his grandchildren, Hunter, Faith, Shyann and SkyLer; and his brother, Steve Harlan.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Betty Harlan; sister, Susan Harlan Franklin and brother, Dave Harlan.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St., Liberty, Indiana 47353. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Dave Jones officiating.
