Teresa C. Steele passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2025, at the age of 71.  She was born in Connersville, In on June 3, 1953, the daughter of the late William Hockersmith and Geraldine Brumback Hockersmith Harsh.

Teresa was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother who loved outdoor activities.  You could find her working in her gardens, she loved to cook, and enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles.  Her most valuable treasure was the time she spent with her family.   She was a lunch aide at Everton School for over 5 years and babysat for the family.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her sons, Fred (Jamie) Steele and Billy Steele; brothers, Ron (Ann) Hockersmith and Bill (Teresa) Hockersmith; sister, Maria (Dan) Gabbard; several grandchildren, one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews, including Becky Hockersmith; and her former husband, William Steele.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Brock Steele and stepson, Mike Steele.

Friends and family may gather on Friday March 21, 2025, at Urban Winkler Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm.
