Terry F. Kolodzik, age 77 of Laurel, passed away at his residence on May 29, 2022.  Born on November 19, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bessie Toomey Kolodzik.

Terry served in the United States Army as a medic for several years.  He served two tours in Vietnam.

For over 30 years he lived in Alaska working on the pipeline.  He returned to the Laurel area in the early 1990's where he worked for Runnebohm Construction in Shelbyville, IN until his retirement.

He was a member of the Moose and enjoyed fishing, working on his home, and spending time with his grandson.

He is survived by his sons, Terrance Kolodzik of Georgia, Thomas Kolodzik of Georgia and Tyler Kolodzik of Texas; step daughter, Shannon Smith of Laurel; brother, Donald Kolodzik of West Virginia; sister Wanda Bevis; several grandchildren including Jordan Smith with whom he made his home; and a special niece, Freda Younger of Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert Jr, Ronald and Walter Kolodzik; a sister Evelyn Lyons; and his longtime companion Bertha Marcum.

Friends and family may gather on Monday June 6, 2022 at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with military services by the Fayette County Honor Guard.  Per Terry's wishes, cremation will follow.
