Thomas Wayne Johnson, 53, of Connersville, went to be with Jesus on March 4, 2022 at his home in Connersville. The son of Reverend Tom and Rosa Norman Johnson, Thomas was born on February 25, 1969 in Connersville.

Thomas graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1987. Years later, he married the love of his life and mother of his children, Amy Snyder Johnson, on July 3, 1999 at Bethel Apostolic Church in Connersville. Mrs. Johnson survives.

Preaching was his passion. His biggest passion was preaching this one God message. Thomas served under his father as the Assistant Pastor of Bethel Apostolic Church for over 20 years.

HE WAS THE FUTURE PASTOR OF BETHEL APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

Along with his church and family, Thomas loved being outdoors riding his side by side – a 2019 Honda Talon 1000-X. He also spent many hours with his horses as well. Thomas always looked forward to their yearly trips to Kentucky where several would go for a retreat to ride.

In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas will be greatly missed by his daughters, Brooke and Breezy Johnson, who he loved with all his heart; a brother, James (Michelle) Johnson; and nieces, Kandra (Greg) Conley, Shannon (Brad) Sieber, Alexis Johnson and Cheltsi (Landon) Lambert; and great nephews, Bryson, the light of his Uncle Thomas's life, and Gideon; his dog Chloe; as well as his church family and many friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Ann Johnson Shafer; a brother, William "Billy" Johnson; grandparents, Ted and Maw Norman and Arvil and Della Johnson.

Visitation for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th St. Connersville, IN 47331. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, 1:00pm at Bethel Apostolic Church, 2229 Iowa Ave, Connersville, IN 47331 with Brother Ballestero and Brother Bill Buie officiating.
