Wendell Cruse, age 81, entered his eternal life on Tuesday April 25, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. Born in Jackson County, Kentucky, on August 24, 1941, Wendell is the son of the late Tom and Mammie Lady Cruse.

He was united in marriage to Linda Griffee in Byrdstown, Tennessee on August 31, 1968. They enjoyed 54 years together and were blessed with four children prior to his death.

Wendell was a very active member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church. He had a tremendous love for his family and extended family. He treasured the simple life that he lived, and you could find him tinkering around the house or relaxing by going fishing. He retired from D&M after many years of service.

In addition to his wife Linda, his love and memory will be cherished by his daughter, Pamela (Ed Meredith) Cruse; grandchildren, James (Elisha Franklin) Corbin and Alisha (Ernesto Garcia) Corbin. He will be missed by his siblings, Christine Day Lake, Doris J. Harrison, Patricia A. Harrison, Hershel Cruse, and Donald Cruse; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his many friends, family and church family.

Besides his parents, Wendell is preceded in death by his children, Judy Lynn Cruse, Thomas Lee Cruse and Ellis Edward Cruse; grandson Ellis Curse, Jr. and siblings, Hattie Brockman, Bertie Lakes, Gertrude Powell, Joyce Ann Malicote, Bonnie Marie Cruse, Della May Cruse, Luker Cruse, Jake Cruse, Raymond Cruse, Tom Cruse, Jr., Larry R. Cruse, and Noel Cruse.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday May 2, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday May 3, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastors Jeff Hensley and Glen Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery
