William Kurtz, Jr

William L. Kurtz, Jr. passed away on Thursday October 29, 2026 at Ambassador Health in Centerville, IN at the age of 86. Bill was born in Danville, Kentucky on February 2, 1940, the son of the late William L. Kurtz, Sr. and Sara Jane Adams.

Bill served in the Indiana National Guard for eight years. He worked as a truck driver and in construction. When not working, you could find him relaxing by fishing, deer hunting or woodworking. He also enjoyed flying r.c. airplanes.

He is survived by a son, David Kurtz; step daughter Cathy Fouche; several grandchildren, including Amanda Kurtz who helped in his care, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Kurtz and his sisters.

Keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation was chosen and no services are planned at this time. Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home is honored to assist in Bill’s arrangements.
